Welcome to New Life Appliance Repair (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Services (“Terms”) govern (a) your use of https://www.newlifeappliance.com (the “Site”) and (b) any in-home or on-site appliance diagnosis, repair, installation, maintenance, or related consulting we perform (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Site or scheduling Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who May Use Our Services
You must (i) be at least 18 years old, (ii) reside or own/lease property within our current service areas in North Carolina or South Carolina, and (iii) have the legal authority to order repairs at the service location.
2. Scheduling, Estimates & Approvals
- Booking Methods. Schedule online, by phone, or through any other channel we publish.
- Diagnostic Fee. A flat diagnostic charge is due at the initial visit and is credited toward the final repair if you proceed.
- Estimates. After diagnosis you will receive a written or electronic quote valid for 30 days. Prices may change if parts suppliers update their pricing.
- Authorization. Work begins only after you accept the estimate (signature, e-signature, text, or email confirmation).
3. Pricing & Payment
- Parts & Labor. Unless stated otherwise, quoted prices include parts, labor, and applicable taxes.
- Payment Due. Full payment is due upon completion of Service. We accept major credit/debit cards, checks, or electronic payment platforms we specify.
- Late Fees. Balances unpaid after 15 days accrue 1.5 % interest per month (or the maximum rate allowed by law).
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Reschedule Window. No penalty if you reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Cancellation Fee. Cancellations inside 24 hours (or inability to access the appliance on arrival) are billed the diagnostic fee to cover technician travel time.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide safe, unobstructed access to the appliance, utilities, and workspace.
- Remove valuables and protect flooring or countertops adjacent to the work area.
- Inform the technician of any known hazards (gas leaks, pest activity, water damage, etc.).
6. Limited Warranty
- Labor Warranty. We warrant labor for 90 days from the Service date.
- Parts Warranty. New OEM parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, typically 90–365 days; refurbished parts carry a 30-day warranty unless noted.
- Exclusions. Warranties do not cover (i) abuse, misuse, or user error; (ii) acts of nature; (iii) faults unrelated to our original repair; (iv) commercial equipment unless we state otherwise in writing.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- Services are provided “as is” except for the limited warranties above.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that Service.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (lost food, business interruption, etc.). Some states do not allow such exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site—text, graphics, logos, photos, videos, and software code—is our property or that of our licensors and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. You may view, print, or download content solely for personal, non-commercial use related to scheduling Service.
9. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Our Privacy Policy (available on the Site) explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
10. Changes to Terms or Services
We may update these Terms or any aspect of the Services at any time. When we do, we’ll post the revised version and change the “Effective Date.” Continuing to use the Site or schedule Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any litigation must be filed in state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, NC. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remainder enforced to the maximum extent possible.
